Please remember that we will have a trading post open during your time at camp. They will sell Assorted Snacks, Drinks, Memorabilia, and other merchandise. We are in the process of obtaining the ability to accept debit and credit cards but it is not finalized yet so bring cash just in case. A suggested amount per person is to bring is 10-20 dollars if they plan on buying just snacks and 20-30 dollars if you plan on buying snacks and other things. A small list of what they will have to sell is cold soda, Gatorade, and water, assorted chips, assorted candy, hammocks, lights, hiking sticks, and knives.
The Knife Policy:
It is the policy of the MCC Webelos Adventure Camp to promote safe use of knives. As such any participant who wishes to purchase a pocket knife from the trading post must present his whittling chip to purchase the knife. If he cannot then an adult from their unit may purchase the knife for the scout and provide it to him after camp (or upon presentation of Whittling Chip). As such, the trading post staff will give the knife to the unit adult at the time of purchase. That adult can either give the knife to the scout then or wait until after camp is over. If the scout has a knife during camp and uses it, he must have his whittling chip on him and may
